The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Socity By Mary Anne Shaffer and Annie Barrows

I LOVED this book. It is written all in letters and is the story of an woman writer and friends she makes from the Island of Guernsey and there amazing stories of the occupation of their small island.

I too loved this book. I enjoyed the British flair it had to it and the fact that it was written all in letters. It makes me a bit nostalgic for the days of actual letter writing, I think we miss something in communicating via email. A great read from a historical view or any other.

I just finished it and it was a fun read. I agree with Mindi and the lost art of letter writing.
I enjoyed learning the history of the occupation of Guernsey as well.

I really enjoyed this book - wishing that I could hear it read in an English accent. A definite fun read.

I just finished this--very, very enjoyable. The characters were incredibly charming and, I agree, it made me long for England, wishing I could visit the island of Guernsey, and very fascinating and piece of history.
